Slip and fall
In an emergency, call 911 first.

Tell the manager or owner. Then take photos of what made you fall.
What to do
- 1Tell the manager or owner right away. Ask them to write a report and give you a copy.
- 2Take photos of what made you fall before it is cleaned up. It may be a spill, a broken step or a dark hall.
- 3Take photos of your shoes and where you fell.
- 4Get the names and phone numbers of anyone who saw it.
- 5Ask if a camera saw it. Ask them to save the video.
- 6See a doctor soon, even if you feel fine.
- 7Keep the shoes and clothes you had on.
Do not
- Do not say you are fine. You may not know yet.
- Do not say it was your fault.
- Do not sign anything or give a recorded statement.
