Uber, Lyft or truck wreck
In an emergency, call 911 first.
First
Get safe and call 911. Then take photos of the truck or car.
What to do
- 1Call 911 if anyone is hurt.
- 2In an Uber or Lyft, take a screenshot of the ride in the app. Get the driver's name and plate.
- 3With a big truck, take photos of the truck and the trailer. Get the name on the door.
- 4Look for the numbers on the truck door. Take a photo of them.
- 5Get the names and phone numbers of anyone who saw it.
- 6See a doctor soon, even if you feel fine.
- 7Call us fast. Trucks keep data about the trip. We can ask the company to save it before it is lost.
Do not
- Do not talk about the wreck with the truck company.
- If their insurance calls, do not let them tape the call.
- Do not sign anything they give you.
- Do not delete the ride from your app.
Save your Playbook to start a case from your phone.
